Romantic deep love story girl and cat chase each other around the house for hours at a time. He plays with her in the litter box like a big dog, and even pats her when he thinks she needs it. She doesn’t seem to care too much for him, and I think it’s probably because she has issues with anxiety and fear. But she’ll pretend to play with him sometimes and he’ll howl with joy, just because he loves her. They’re so cute together. I do love to see her play, and she’s actually very good at it. She stands on her hind legs, and runs in circles all around. She dives into the box with abandon, batting at the bottom with her paw, and gobbles up all the wet cat food she can find. She’s done her share of hunting, but not too much because she hates the smell of dead things. Bunnies and squirrels are okay though.

I suppose she is afraid of not having food in the house, and I can understand that. It’s sad to think of her being eaten alive. But then I think that she’s got a great life, and it’s no wonder she’s so happy and energetic. She looks so blissful when she’s playing. Cats are a lot of work, but she’s a lot of fun. I’m glad I chose her over a dog. Most dogs I’ve known in my life are very neurotic and have horrible manners. To have that yapping yap so close to your head all day long would drive me nuts.

I don’t know how anyone could stand it. I’ve also had a few dogs that I didn’t like all that much. I can’t tell you the breed though. I’ve just always been more a cat person. I’m not the only one of course. A friend of mine has a dog, but her dog is more of a kitten and bunny type than a dog. She’s just a bundle of play and energy, and she’s always smiling. My friend’s cat is a little sick right now and that’s why they’re not here to see the movie, but I’m sure they’ll be back soon.

I have a feeling the cat is the better judge of character. Maybe she just needs a good belly rub. She looks pretty relaxed in this picture, doesn’t she? Well, I have been in the process of writing two novels. I’ve finished my first, and I’ve gotten a short story up to 18, 000 words. I’m not going to post all of it here, since some people don’t need to know certain details about it. I would like to finish it and submit it sometime. I’m not sure when, but I hope it’s soon. I’m not exactly famous for my writing. But if my name were to be mentioned in the same breath as some of the people who are famous for their writing, it would be cool. I just wish I could get an agent. I’m still trying. I was in Hawaii two days ago. It was hot and humid, but nice.

There was a large earthquake there the other night. It was pretty big for that island, I think. The waves were huge. We drove to an area on the southern coast called Diamond Head, and we watched waves come crashing over the reef and wash up on the shore. It was kind of scary and exciting. Then, on the way back to Waikiki, the sun was setting, and it was perfect. Even the waves were pretty. I don’t know much about photography, but I had a wonderful time walking around trying to capture the beauty and excitement with my camera. I will post more pictures in my Flickr account.

Well, I’ve been a lot busier than usual lately. I’ve been doing a lot of writing. My first novel is up to about 45, 000 words, and I’m thinking that if I finish it in the next month, I’ll try to get it submitted somewhere.
