I live alone! In my small apartment I have everything I need, except company. Most of my time is spent working and studying. When I am not doing either of those things, I’m probably sleeping. My dog and cat sometimes join me, but they often get restless and leave the room. I feel lonely sometimes, especially on cold nights when I’m watching TV by myself. Sometimes I just want someone to talk to me. Someone who won’t judge me for being single. That’s what happens when I go out, people always stare at me, even though I try to blend in. But I love my independence and don’t really mind being alone.

People think I’m weird. I know, it sounds stupid, but everyone does it! Even friends think I’m strange when I tell them about my interest in cannabis. They think I’m crazy, but I don’t care. I was raised in a household where my parents drank alcohol, smoked pot, snorted coke, did heroin… I’ve been around drugs since I was young. I’m not afraid of anything. Why should I be? I would rather die than live without marijuana. How many people can say that? I love cannabis! Not only do I use it to relax and meditate, but I also make it into different edibles. I love how it makes me feel and I hope to share that feeling with others.

One thing I’m good at is school. I’ve been going to college for the past three years now. I spend most of my day taking notes and reading textbooks, but I still manage to find time to enjoy life. My grades are excellent, but I don’t take any shortcuts. If I want something, I work hard for it. I don’t play games. I want to be successful in life. And if I fail, no harm done. I’ll just try again.

Lots of friends! I have some really great friends! I have a group of friends who hang out together almost every weekend. We laugh, we joke, we argue. We’re all pretty much best friends, but we aren’t close. My closest friend lives across town. He’s the first person I call when I want to eat pizza or watch a movie. We can’t hang out every weekend, but we still keep in touch via text message. My other friends are scattered throughout campus. I have people I can call anytime I need to talk; whether its about homework or just life in general. Friends help each other out and look out for one another. They’re the ones who will help me move when I graduate, take me grocery shopping when I get sick, and give me advice when my boyfriend breaks up with me.

Sometimes I wonder if people actually believe me when I tell them that I spend hours sitting behind a computer screen. Sure, I could be spending those hours playing video games or watching TV, but I do study. I’m currently pursuing a degree in psychology. I spend most of the day researching and writing papers. It may sound boring, but I enjoy it. I have plenty of time to sit down and write. Most days I wake up before sunrise and read until noon. Then I spend the rest of my day reading books and researching. I don’t have a job right now, so I’m able to devote all my time to school. I plan to finish my degree, then start looking for a job. After school, I plan to pursue a career in psychology. I want to help patients learn how to deal with their problems and improve their mental well-being.

Music has been a huge part of my life ever since I was little. As soon as I got my first guitar, I started learning chords and singing along to songs. Music helps me unwind after a stressful day, and it calms my nerves. I listen to classic rock (like Led Zeppelin), country (like Willie Nelson), and blues (like B.B. King). I prefer bands with heavy riffs and loud drums. I never thought I’d end up listening to metal, but I couldn’t resist Iron Maiden. I love how intense it is and the way it makes me feel. My favorite band is Judas Priest. Their lyrics are powerful and inspiring; I always find myself humming their melodies after hearing them. I also enjoy listening to classical music. I love Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, Bach, and Tchaikovsky. There is nothing more relaxing than putting on a beautiful piece of music and lying back on my bed listening to the soft tones flow over me.

I know I’m definitely not the most artistic person. I draw, paint, sculpt, and create sculptures out of clay. I have created some really cool pieces. I never thought I had talent for art, but when I put my hands to some kind of materials, I become inspired. I love making stuff out of wood, metal, glass, or stone. Creating something out of nothing is amazing to me. I feel like I’m finally putting something tangible on paper or canvas. I love sharing my creations with people and seeing their reactions. I love talking about my art, and showing off my works to family members and friends. I’m passionate about art, and I hope to continue to develop my skills as long as I live.
